Usually religion plays a part in that.

Just common sense. You see what is happening to western society. Not rocket science and somehow it's a belief. Crazy world really.

Common sense isn't actually common. It depends on where you live, your culture and up bringing.

You see what is happening to western society.

There is not one Western Society - which you would realise if you ever lived and worked in another first world country.

Being Vegan, believing in Buddhist and believing the earth is flat are all beliefs with vocal believers.

For 100s of 1,000s of years humans have lived by a basic set of truths then suddenly overnight men can become women and women can become men. And this is humanity "waking up". Insanity.

Love the "everybody has their own version of the truth" tag line. Has been used by the extreme left for years. "You can be whatever you want to be". So why draw the line at a man becoming a woman? Why not go further? We can identify as whatever we want including animals, monsters and aliens.

Not wanting to move over to the kooky side the current trans stance and beliefs seem a little outside the needs of society. Despite knowing & loving people transitioning its clear

1. Natural and fully transitioned women are entitled to safe spaces, no women should have to put up with a changing room where male genitalia is on show or a battered wives shelter with a man in it.
2. The rights of those transitioning are loudly proclaimed and those negatively affected are actively denied.
3. People will abuse the privileges given to trans people, rapists from some reason like to lie to authorities to abuse their victims.
4. Popping some lippy and a skirt on won't make Arnie a woman in anyone's opinion. You are transitioned when a suitable medical professional says so. I would argue that is after final surgery or medical castration.
6. Denying there are good medical and civil reasons to preserve a persons birth gender & name is foolish.

This is referred to as Gender ideology. Not grounded in any logic or reason. Mutilating somebody's body can't change their sex. Chopping bits off them and artifically attaching other bits doesn't make any difference. This should be treated as a mental illness just like those who believe they shouldnt have 2 legs and want to chop of their leg. Unless you can change their chromosomes and make a man give birth then there is no such thing as a sex change.

Haven't you heard of some of the hundreds of genders e.g. stargender, earthgender, Cosmicgender?

Nobody talks about sex changes any more.

Although it is somewhat in conflict with my largely orthodox views, I have always thought it doesn't seem entirely unreasonable a "man's body" could have a "woman's brain" or vice versa, to put it in very over-simplified terms. When you look at the hugely significant role your hormones play especially, the "has it got a willy" distinction seems somewhat lacking. If you give a biological girl male hormones for life you get something that looks and acts remarkably like a man, if you deprive a biological man of certain hormones they lose many of those same characteristics.
This is not surgery or complicated drug therapy, just soaking the body in a different combination of hormones our bodies all make.

I wonder, if society didn't say "men are like A and women are like B", if a man who was more like B wouldn't think "I'm a woman" i.e. to what extent is gender identity informed by gender stereotypes. It would be pretty interesting to study except of course, nobody is allowed to do research into gender identity now because we have to take the LGBT arguments as axiomatic.

Actually there are a few people who have got one or both legs partially/fully amputated as they have genetic conditions that made it difficult to use those limbs. You are implying not wanting the body you are born with is a mental illness.
