Although it is somewhat in conflict with my largely orthodox views, I have always thought it doesn't seem entirely unreasonable a "man's body" could have a "woman's brain" or vice versa, to put it in very over-simplified terms. When you look at the hugely significant role your hormones play especially, the "has it got a willy" distinction seems somewhat lacking. If you give a biological girl male hormones for life you get something that looks and acts remarkably like a man, if you deprive a biological man of certain hormones they lose many of those same characteristics.
This is not surgery or complicated drug therapy, just soaking the body in a different combination of hormones our bodies all make.
There are actually people born like that.

This is one of the arguments for "sex" testing female track and field athletes over the years. Due to how such sports are only humans who are by all accounts physical outliers e.g. physical freaks are the ones who get to the highest levels. Anyway the testing is used to ensure that only those with XX chromosomes plus testosterone within certain parameters can compete in women's events. Unfortunately for some athletes the testing has uncovered medical issues they didn't know about.

It would be pretty interesting to study except of course, nobody is allowed to do research into gender identity now because we have to take the LGBT arguments as axiomatic.
It's more prevalent since the 80s thanks to marketing.

peddling Gender ideology again. You get feminine men and masculine women. Deal with it. I've met plenty of "feminine men" who are happily married (I have to state with women since the concept of marriage has been destroyed in western society), have children and are really good moral citizens.

The answer to these mental illnesses certainly is not mutiliation.

You are talking about a physical illness or disease. Not having a perfectly good functioning leg and wanting to cut it off. Which is what gender ideology is peddling - the mutilation of perfectly healthy, functioning bodies.

I think he's talking the extreme ends. Those that have conciously had them removed because they don't feel right. Like the woman that blinded herself. It's called integrity identity disorder (BIID).

Does beg a difficult question what really is the different between someone thinking they are a different gender to which they were born and someone that wants to lose their eyesight because they want to be blind. Easy to say they are completely different but are they really? Should we accept and include people that want to be blind or don't want a limb they were born with in a similar way to trans? Why is BIID a disorder but we don't use gender identity disorder anymore. But that said, such a rare thing it's not really worth asking the question.

Guess he wants them to all kill themselves then as most mental illnesses can't be cured and some of the people with them can't live as they are. That would solve his problem of people who don't feel right inflicting themselves on others in the world regardless of why.

Male suicide is the biggest cause of death of men under 50 in the UK. And while he can try you cannot blame women for it.

Can’t believe you actually peddle this extreme left wing stuff. Can you point to me in history when there was this suicide epidemic caused by people wanting to become the opposite gender? Since when was it ok to mutilate and chop the parts of people because they “might commit suicide”. Suicide is actually a new trend caused by gender ideology not solved by it. if you have seen what happens to people following these mutilation surgeries then you may understand why they are actually more likely to commit suicide after not before. Go and research the medical complications caused by mutilation surgeries.

Not to mention FGM and male circumcision. In the name of religion.

You want me to get started on crime in the land of LGBT (formerly known as the UK)?
