Not in the UK - the pension age keeps increasing to “encourage” older people to keep working.

I don't think ALM is racist but it's not used used by anyone who seems to care about racism so it's not hard to see it getting a bad rep, just as the extremists clinging to BLM give that a bad rep.
Who with any sense denies there is a racism problem?

Now people defining racism as something only committed by whites is a problem as well.

For BLM the charity fraud by the people at the top was pretty damning. Moving George Floyd to sainthood wasn't a great move either. He was an intoxicated convicted felon who died whilst resisting arrest, the way the police restrained him was incorrect and unsafe but there were far better causes that highlighted Police brutality.

We have just had 5 policemen beat a black suspect to death and it hardly caused a ripple.

Another suspect who resisted arrest and tried to flee. <-- That bit seems to have been glossed over by some.

My understanding was he wasn't well known to the police so he wasn't so likely to fight back?

My understanding is that resisting arrest and trying to flee, innocent or not is unlikely to end well.

Not talking about surveys but statistics are often very simplistic, black, white, Asian, Muslim etc.

Things are not that simple, there are many factors: Where people are from, not simply country but wherebouts in a country, size of population in areas of the UK - presumably because smaller groups do not remain separated to the same extent and, perhaps most importantly, wealth. If you compared people of similar economic standing I doubt the differences would be as high. Various studies show inequality is a major factor in crime.

Try reading the whole thread before you start with your ad hominem attacks.

Considering that 14% of Americans identify as black and even if the 26% of black people polled is extrapolated across the population of the United States that's 3.64% of the (registered) population of the USA - ~12.25Mn people which I grant you is a large number of people - if you gather them in one place. Considering there are ~336mn people in the USA then as far as I'm concerned, it's not a real problem.
