You're not wrong. I had to buy a suit recently and got one from M&S for £100. It's a nice suit and there's absolutely nothing wrong with it. Why pay more?Originally posted by PerfectStorm View PostAbout the same money to buy one to keep in M&SComment

I persuaded Mr C to do this for a proposed black tie do a several years ago. We never went to it in the end, and now he can’t face using an out-of-date suit so that money was wasted.Originally posted by tazdevil View Post

How could a suit be out of date? Especially one for a black tie event which is quite prescriptiveOriginally posted by cojak View Post

I didn't think a good black tie outfit went out of date? I bought one many moons ago and it's still hanging on. Had to have the trousers taken in now slimmer trousers are a thing and I see the lapels are getting slimmer and slimmer but still acceptable. I like wearing a cummerbund which very few people do now so I think I can get away with the suit not being the latest fashion but definitely not out of date.Originally posted by cojak View Post

But I do feel his pain, I've bought suits for events before and times moved on before I got the wear out of it. Gutting giving away perfectly good outfits.'CUK forum personality of 2011 - Winner - Yes really!!!!
