Our "delivered next day on Friday" portable A/C unit mysteriously failed to show up. What are the odds it's a genuine mistake versus it's in a delivery driver's house because they could see what it was from the box?

Bit hot in Wales according to The Guardian:
Wales has provisionally recorded its hottest day on record, with the
temperature reaching 35.3C in Gogerddan, near Aberystwyth, the Met Office said.

My phone says it's 31C and set to remain that way until the evening. My office has got up to 21.5C, I'm sure I've had it hotter here in cooler weather so I'm not sure why but I shan't complain.Originally posted by MaryPoppinsI'd still not breastfeed a naziOriginally posted by vetranUrine is quite nourishingComment

This is how 90% of new builds look like around in Surrey (on average 50 houses per year maybe mind you, typically next to a busy road or a railway):Originally posted by Paddy View Post
Same tulip look, same tulip small windows. Absolutely no design changes from one development to another. Why the feck people in the UK buy this is beyond me (well actually I know, lack of absolutely any housing whatsoever).Comment

Same here just outside the city, several developments on farmland. many semi-detached at £1m+ They don't look homely at all. Conversely, there have been some nice one-offs done by local builders.Originally posted by dsc View Post

Why would it be important that your house doesn't look like the house in the next village? If you look at 60s ex-council estates or old brick terraced streets you might see that modern homogeneity is nothing new. Any time houses are mass-produced, they tend to be built to a template.Originally posted by dsc View Post
