Shame she didn't teach you critical thinking at the same time. Thick people can understand metric or imperial, but struggle to follow a simple argument.Originally posted by MaryPoppinsI'd still not breastfeed a naziOriginally posted by vetranUrine is quite nourishing -
I agree, stick with what we are familiar with. I didn't expect anyone to take my metric time bollux seriously.Or maybe.... just leave it the feck alone... Which is what the gov should be doing. We all manage with what we have now so why bother with such a distracti...... oh wait....bloggoth

I wonder what erotic writing would be like in Metric?

Of course there's all the extra costs this will impose on shops and producers and others, driving up prices. Just what we need at the moment. Think I'm starting to move towards the view that Blow Job is an idiot.bloggoth

Not stopping at weights & meaures, how about getting rid of VAT and going back to good old Purchase Tax. That'd be A Real Shock to the system.
Especially since it had rates that went up & down like a whore's knickers with a top rate of 100% on occasion.
.
Here's the 1971 rates:
https://api.parliament.uk/historic-h...f-purchase-tax
Purchase tax shall in future be charged at 10 per cent., 15 per cent., 30 per cent. and 50 per cent., respectively, on all goods to which the present rate of l3i per cent., 22 per cent., 36 per cent. and 55 per cent. apply. For most of the financial year 1951–52, mink coats and diamond rings were chargeable with tax at 100 per cent. They are now chargeable at 25 per cent. Motor cars were chargeable at 66⅔ per cent., and are now chargeable at 50 per cent.
