You have no effing idea why this war is happening, except what the Kremlin sponsored conspiracy websites tell you.Originally posted by Jog On View Post
This is literally why this war is happening in the first place. Genuine question for all you pro-WW3 people cheering this on - what do you want to see out of this? Where would you like this all to go? Personally, I preferred things the way they were before Russia vetoed the US invasion of Syria back in 2014 just before Ukraine got turned into a theatre of war.
Moving NATO bases and hardware to surround a nuclear superpower with a huge military capability - to what end? No I don't trust or support our elites and haven't since "WMDs here in 45 minutes".
Calling people who question what our side is doing "pro-Russian propagandists" is lazy, stupid and pathetic. Symptomatic of how weak our society has become where people will try and silence and censor opposing opinions rather than engage in factual dialogue.Comment

Germany now providing defensive weapons. Better late than never - fair play.

Sounds like opposition to severing Russian banks from Swift is eroding too. Better still, freeze the assets of the Russian central bank. Boom.

Statement from Chelsea's club owner -
https://www.chelseafc.com/en/news/20...man-abramovich
During my nearly 20-year ownership of Chelsea FC, I have always viewed my role as a custodian of the Club, whose job it is ensuring that we are as successful as we can be today, as well as build for the future, while also playing a positive role in our communities. I have always taken decisions with the Club’s best interest at heart. I remain committed to these values. That is why I am today giving trustees of Chelsea’s charitable Foundation the stewardship and care of Chelsea FC.
I believe that currently they are in the best position to look after the interests of the Club, players, staff, and fans.
And for those who can't work it out https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/foo...m-b984669.html

The thing about Chelsea is a bit (deliberately?) vague - he's not giving up ownership, just "stewardship".Comment
