I'm seeing the following popup in yellow for a few seconds once in a while - any ideas?

Something weird to do with the cacheing, I think. As far as I can tell, we have a choice: use the database for cacheing and have the forum regularly grind to a halt, or use memcache and have that oddness with the menus and so on happen occasionally

There is one more thing that might be related to it; it involves leaving long-lived stuff like the menu labels to be cached in the database and only using the main cache for other stuff. At least I think that's how it works. I'll check the vBulletin docs and try experimenting with it over the weekend

Looked like it was something to do with the search box on one post I made.

Seems to be something to do with the "rate this topic" "Filter" and search thingie that appears.

Actually, it's both menu bars. Perhaps it's a sign of old age.

^^^^ Also, the second layer of menu items disappear randomly (New Posts etc.) and some context menus appear blank sometimes.
