First of all we had over the Scottish referendum. Then we had over the Brexit referendum, with constant referrals to the Scottish referendum. Now we've got over the US presidential election, with referrals to both the Brexit and the Scottish referendum.

Perhaps it should all be merged into one thread.

Not sure I understand ? We're supposed to empathise with kids, adults some of them, having temper tantrums? Over subjects they know almost nothing about!?

What's more scary is that the Democrats seemed to be so detached from public opinion is to think that they could put someone as publicly reviled as Hillary up and it not matter

Didn't the voting public choose Hillary as the Decomcratic nominee in the first place (I'm not actually sure how it works so this is a real question)?
