My German nachbar telling me this is the way of things in times long since past, since the Greeks. You'd have democracy, then formation of minorities, and dictatorships before going back to democracy. If you guys are sincere then you've lost a little part of your empathy (or soul if you're that way inclined) during the heat of battle over the last 6 months.

A lot of us were too busy getting out there and doing it since I was 15, scooter rallies, northern soul, bands, acid house, free parties and raving.
Social media equivalent was word of mouth, fanzines, post and phone lines which all required a lot of effort.
It wasn't a constant junk feed available to all.
Even away from social media, these days its actually a skill to form a balanced opinion, due to all the noise out there, its really quite hard work.
Still there are some excellent books and documentaries for people who want to understand the real situation, rather than just a series of Tw@tter sound bites.

They are not socially engaging with old gits like us that have differences of opinion for fun and enlightening experience. So when they are let loose in wide politically motivated discussion they get ****ed and can't figure out why.Comment
