What's more scary is that the Democrats seemed to be so detached from public opinion is to think that they could put someone as publicly reviled as Hillary up and it not matter, especially given what happened with Brexit. It should, I hope, give the liberal media the kick in the groin that it needs. For everything that's wrong with the Mail and Express, there are left wing rags that are even more blind to contrary opinion.

The Democratic choice was between Clinton and someone who was so socialist in the US eyes he was a communist. So in short their possible two candidates were someone hated and a communist.

I'm beginning to lose the line between satire and sincerity.

If you guys are sincere then you've lost a little part of your empathy (or soul if you're that way inclined) during the heat of battle over the last 6 months.

Point taken, but I wonder if this is a new phenomenon. A product of, among other things, social media and sharing all sorts of pointless crap instantly and "without consequence".

I don't recall a comparable #generationsnowflake when I was in my teens/twenties, but perhaps I've lost perspective...

A lot of us were too busy getting out there and doing it since I was 15, scooter rallies, northern soul, bands, acid house, free parties and raving.

Social media equivalent was word of mouth, fanzines, post and phone lines which all required a lot of effort.
It wasn't a constant junk feed available to all.

Even away from social media, these days its actually a skill to form a balanced opinion, due to all the noise out there, its really quite hard work.
Still there are some excellent books and documentaries for people who want to understand the real situation, rather than just a series of Tw@tter sound bites.

Actually it comes from the way the little face book cherubs only mix with like minded chunts. They must be right because all their mates say it too...

They are not socially engaging with old gits like us that have differences of opinion for fun and enlightening experience. So when they are let loose in wide politically motivated discussion they get ****ed and can't figure out why.
