First of all we had over the Scottish referendum. Then we had over the Brexit referendum, with constant referrals to the Scottish referendum. Now we've got over the US presidential election, with referrals to both the Brexit and the Scottish referendum.

Perhaps it should all be merged into one thread.

Actually it comes from the way the little face book cherubs only mix with like minded chunts. They must be right because all their mates say it too...

They are not socially engaging with old gits like us that have differences of opinion for fun and enlightening experience. So when they are let loose in wide politically motivated discussion they get ****ed and can't figure out why.

Nope it's nothing to do with not mixing with older people it's to do with not being aware of history and deciding someone with a different view to you even if they are the same age is just wrong. The fact that opinions of people are rarely black and white in a democracy is missed by them.

Look what is happening at universities in this country - the no platforming of speakers. It is far better to let the speaker speak and do a silent protest if you are going to protest. However they either stop them speaking at all e.g. Germaine Greer or they threaten the speakers safety e.g. Hen Mazzig.

I'm beginning to lose the line between satire and sincerity.

If you guys are sincere then you've lost a little part of your empathy (or soul if you're that way inclined) during the heat of battle over the last 6 months.

These people are bigots.
