They're phishing jobs. A blacklist refers to individual's names going on a list and being refused work because they are on that list.

The two are completely different things.

I remember three or four years ago when I had a choice of two gigs and the one I turned down I was told I was to be put on 'the black list' immediately. The pimp said this was distributed amongst all the top agencies.

Two weeks later a pimp from the same agency called me to see if I was looking for work

Some agencies do appear to have internal blacklists.

Whether these spread across multiple agencies, I wouldn't be surprised if this happens occasionally.

Probably depends if that agent have second choice candidate or if they're through a different agency.

LTSB the "perceived" blacklist is because most of the hiring managers have been there for many years they are going nowhere soon its way too easy for them there.........

I think there is a blacklist for some banks in HR (Barcap is one of them) but do not think agencies share data on this its too volatile as they are all in competition with each other blacklisting would require more effort on their part

Blacklist reasons would be interesting to know. Could screw up some people if jumping ship early is sufficient to blacklist.

I have clearly read the thread, and I stand by my comments. There is no proof that all of the jobs on Jobserve are real jobs. Many are there just to harvest CVs and references.

Those old enough will remember the fabled union blacklist of the 70s. It was a list of union agitators.

I've got a copy of the rumoured blacklist, I'm not on it but everyone else is.
