All those companies you mention are on the indian outsourcing train they all have 1st class tickets in avoiding employing anyone outside of the outsourcer resource pool (I avoided using the word talent pool for obvious reasons as it does not take much talent to sit in a packed room using google search...

If possible torpedo the project as in let it fail but ensure your not sitting in the line of fire for the blowback!

Its not just IT jobs which are scarce.....Many of the IB's I used to work at are dumping MD's & other expensive front office staff like its going out of fashion! The sea change is rapid I think the entire job industry is constantly changing & evolving but no-one really knows where its heading...

Those 9 recruitment firms are ALL HCL satellite companies I am 100% certain of that...if you could get to the murky bottom of their accounts you will find its somehow part of the now vast HCL empire which is a big part of undercutting UK IT resource!!
