HMRC will enquire onto tax returns as matter of course. They are not investigating you for criminal charges and to my knowledge they have never used the word 'investigation'. Think of it like this, there are no irregularities with any of our tax returns so there is no need for an investigation. All of this boils down to HMRC opening an enquiry then disagreeing with the contents of your tax return and assessing that more tax is payable. Nothing sinister about that, its an everyday occurrance.
The reasons behind how and why they assess more tax is payable is a different story entirely.

                    Contributions.

                    Guys.
I like the idea of establishing a Standing Order for regular contributions. It will allow me to budget effectively for this 'investment' whilst maintaining local control. My current gig ends soon and I want to be able to regulate the contributions. The ad-hoc donations made to date have been provided when prompted and of course weren't budgeted in advance. As result they had an impact on each occasion that I could have prepared for (but didn't sorry).

Let me know what the target account should be.
