Also recommend Scan, I got them to build my last rack server and their service and products and support are top notch and they'll take on board special requests.

I would have recommended ebuyer, but now that they have gone the way of the dodo, I'm on the lookout as well.
I did pick up some parts from Amazon, found them well priced and never had an issue with their returns procedure from personal purchases. You can now link your personal Prime membership to a business account for free delivery, which is a nice bonus.
I would have a look at this list for your price point for what's considered best at each price point, and it will auto-fill your Amazon basket!

I've had three Dells, all of which reliable and quality builds.

Funnily enough, OH is looking at a new PC as the one I gave him can't upgrade to Windows 11 (he likes to wring that last ounce of use out of his machines).
He's hoping to be able to put a Linux distro on it (probably Mint) but if that doesn't work it's a new PC. I've looked at Overclockers as I bought it from there originally but they've moved into serious gamer territory these days and no longer cater to simpletons like us.
So I've told him to look at refurbished Dells if the Linux install doesn't work."I can put any old tat in my sig, put quotes around it and attribute to someone of whom I've heard, to make it sound true."

I use Mint on my DAW machine. AFAIK it'll run on just about anything (i've also got it on an old Eee notebook I keep out of nostalgia, 'cos it was the first ever notebook). So he/she should be fine.He who Hingeth aboot, Getteth Hee Haw. https://forums.contractoruk.com/core...ies/smokin.gifComment
