Well, this is a right PITA and no mistake.
Win11 wants to control my life in return for using its OS.
fecking secure boot, TPM27.8 or whatever.
    utter bolloks.
try to boot from usb? - indeciferable boot options menu.
can't just point to drive, got to find correct file, then can't boot from anywhere else.

Got one of those also - mainly because I have a box which has only combined mic and headphone jack and I needed somewhere to plug both into separate jacks. But it works very nicely and was zero hassle to get it running under Linux.

Audaciy ? Behringer ? Are you a tight bastard ????
Audacity's great for quick 'n' dirty basic stuff, and behringer does ok for me.
I use what works without forking out for posh sh1te.
You're probably one of the 'all the gear and no idea' bams who never get oot o' their mammy's loft.

if anything, linux recognises stuff and has drivers built in much more so than windoze and that other lockin merchant.
It's not seamless, Linux expects you to know more sysadmin than windaes, but it's all free (apart from voluntary contributions, if you feel generous).
As good as ProTools IMHO, and without the constraints of the Apple universe.
