    BTW Surrey is closed to Berkshire where there are apparently Fire Fighters who are trained to deal with runaway cattle.

    I believe cows are sentient - but I still eat beef. Sentience is merely the ability to feel. Few would argue that calves can't feel pain or fear.

    They're not sapient of course.

    Unfortunately, some police officers are sadistic and they join the force to enjoy doing those sort of acts.
