Antigua
Glorious beaches, great food and raw history.
Followed by
New York strangely enough seeing the sights you see in Movies & TV.

I can't find a good photo but they also have treehouse lodges built up the trunks of some massive redwoods etc... hoping to return and stay there one day.

But you're right, Thailand is great. I've spent several long holidays in Pattaya in Thailand. Great weather, good varied food, decent prices, warm seas, and friendly people. I swear I would go there for my hols even if thewhole city wasn't one massive brothel

Yes, there are some classier places on the island; last time I went we stayed at the Princesa Yaiza in Playa Blanca.
It used to be quite cheap to hire a villa with a pool (so long as it wasn't half holidays) but then people stopped going to Egpyt for winter sun and the prices went right up. Would be interested to see if that has rectified itself now that folks are returning to Sharm.Last edited by Guy At Charnock Richard; 14 June 2022, 08:46. Reason: Edit: Changed 's' of rectified to 'd'

Probably because it reminded my of my home county of Essex - cheap people who think they are high rollers because they have a little bit of cash on their hip.Last edited by TheDude; 14 June 2022, 08:06.
