You're confusing two things. The OP was not about making it mandatory for employees; it was suggesting it may be required before an employment/contract offer is made.
In the first instance, unless the contract covered it, an employer could no enforce it. In the second, no contract exists...

It's not discriminatory if its a rule that applies to everyone and that rule is based on a choice someone makes of their own free will.

Someone I once spoke to at HR at a client I was at said to me that they have used an applicants COVID vaccination status as a proxy for other traits that would typically rule them out later in the process. She may have been half-joking, but the example she gave was that there is a not insignificant...

Just in case you misinterpreted the post to which you responded. An appeal being stood over does not mean it was successful. It's just been put in a big box with all the others labelled "revisit these in future when the initial test cases have progressed". I'm not even sure it stops interest...
