Yes but he said Waitrose. Has an image to maintain. Vulnerable damaged women aren't going to be impressed by Lidl smoked salmon...

Really? Our local Waitrose has had half empty shelves for the past couple of months, especially fresh fruit and veg areas. I normally use Sainsburys for delivery every couple of weeks, and I never get a full order - most orders have 10+ replacements or no replacement at all.

The last article is quite revealing, as 53% of respondents blamed IR35, which is quite understandable.

Ah, so we’re number 2 in terms of shortage, but the spin is that every country is in as bad a state as the UK?
    https://www.ti-insight.com/briefs/eu...00000-drivers/

Also, Germany has 1.5million truck drivers, the UK has 516,000, so the UK shortage is about 12%, and the German shortage is about 3%

So, while 58% of the UK RHA questioned blamed Brexit, 53% said that the problem with getting agency drivers was IR35. Not quite the spin you put on it.

Because there is a shortage on the continent as well? They went home for Covid now they are driving in Germany & France.

ONS figures suggest 18,000 EU drivers went home. The other missing 82,000 drivers is complaining about is because people don't want to drive Class 1 for minimum wage.

Surely we should be drinking British beer anyway.

It did, all of them. And immigration, the channel, BLM and terrorists . But didn't mention house prices.
