So on your point 2...they are claiming they "rebutted these claims"....wow they took a shed load of money from people to do that when many people simply wrote a letter and got the same outcome. Reality is, they failed miserably to get anywhere with that and didn't put an end to this whole...

My feeling was they would use this as a way to get out of doing the SAR. Ordinarily this is used if you are asking for information with no purpose and creating them unnecessary. Hence you need to raise a complaint to the ICO saying they are making claims of these so called loans and you want the information...

They have been "going at them" for years and it's gone nowhere and still going nowhere....

And these are the key points we all need to put in our responses to any court orders. And for what it's worth - Felicitas were never registered either in the IoM....

Or he is part of the Elysium group fighting against this (which is my suspicion) which is ok, It is gives a good insight as to how they are working on the case...

Don't think anybody here has said the statute barred timer starts from when the loan is created. It is 6 years (in England) from when a final demand for payment was made. If yout ignored that demand and never made any payment or acknowledged the debt, 6 years has now likely passed for most people....

No need to suspect. Elysium were fully aware..
I can't speak for Greenwoods though. It still doesn't make sense how they knew about the letters before they arrived...

They are going to be going to court for sure to test a few cases. The only thing that might stop that is the outcome of Dan's work and the pressure some of us are putting on with our escalations to the FCA. I don't see the FCA allowing these "loans" to be regularised in which case West 28th...Last edited by looperevil; 27 May 2026, 20:36.

With group costs, there is no such thing as a "fixed cost to final outcome". The fixed cost will only cover you for next piece of action the "group" is working on. When that part doesn't lead to a end, they then ask for more money which is what happened with Elysium. The other challenge...

I didn't get any real letters from Felicitas other than a statement and final demand. I didn't engage with them at all. It would have been interesting to see what paperwork they had for me

In general it is going to cost you anywhere from £1200 to £2k to have prepared a reponse disputing a debt by a litigation solicitor. I explored this route. The groups fighting this are very likely to be more economical if they can be trusted. But there is nothing stopping you from preparing a response...Last edited by looperevil; 27 May 2026, 14:47.

That's hilarious. I had no clue on this and will certainly keep an eye out for this if they have any paperwork for me which I am 99% sure they don't.
Great name by the way

Elysium never responded to my question about the "loans" being statute-barred.
It's pretty simple. Either they are loans or they are not. If they are, they are statute barred anyway. But we need to ensure we never acknowledge the loans.
They need to provide all the...

Same here. I have contacted Dan. I have offered to share as much information as I have which to be honest won't be unique to me. He broadly probably has all the information. I will report back once I (hopefully) get a response back

Hi looperevil,
I've received a message from balton9 to pass onto you:
I realise your frustration with the situation but please be careful what you place on a public forum, not everyone reading here is on your side.

Will drop him an email next week.
I don't know why they won't answer the question of statute barred.
In terms of fees to Elysium, I can't remember exactly as it has been that long. I would around £800-1k...

So what's happened is, Elysium have seen the email that was posted on here by Dan Neidle. And they have contacted him.
I know for sure they are actively monitoring this forum. Their last email has really annoyed me.
Not said this before but one of the options they have put...
