My sister-in-law found an investment document relating to my MIL about 3 years ago. Since then there has been a lot of communication - death cert, probate, solicitors letters, etc, all required as evidence before the funds were released. The good thing is that they remained invested over that time and...

Afternoon all
Up at 04:40 to walk the dog, pending a 07:00 delivery of the next shed. At 06:00 as we were about to go into an area of poor phone reception, I thought I should check to see if there was any update on the delivery. There was. New ETA 06:40.
The walk was cut short and...

Heavy rain yesterday evening and overnight to the point that the pond is half full (most of the water coming from the summerhouse roof). Have inspected the new shed and it is dry inside.

Maybe Mainframe Norman* could buy one to replace the servers that CUK is running on, it would be an upgrade.
*I have no evidence that his name is Norman, but it is the term of endearment that we used in the 90s for the lead hardware techie.

I didn't believe my wife when she said she'd joined a Moroccan tribute band for The Monkees.
And then I saw her Fez.

TFIF, etc.
Some very thin cloud this morning, and about 4 hours ago we had a series of sharp but heavy showers. Not enough to do much watering of the garden, but enough to leave damp patches on the road.

Are they a company that is used to dealing with UK remote workers?
Are you going via an agency or direct?
What country will the contract be made out in?
Most of my US work has been done with contracts from Swiss companies, but it's a few years since I've done that.

Flip side is that compared to when some of our esteemed members were working, there aren't as many business drivers on the road as a percentage of total road users. Many people are able to work remotely, the need to go to a client site every day is rare.
My wife used to do 2 days a week...

What?
Lounges are free. Everything in the lounge is free.
You show them your boarding pass and walk in.
Great if you've got half an hour or six hours to kill....
