Its difficult to say, in medium to large private sector orgs and public sector it can take an age even when its not holiday season for someone to click "OK" on a screen or send an email. In some of the Indian based consultancies this can take weeks not hours as it goes through an approval...

in the UK market front end devs and engineers tend to be young because it doesnt pay much these days (Front end). Back end guys are older and are paid more but are not necessarily happier

In the UK i think that part of the market (front end) has been permanently damaged by AI.

If you look at the hourly rates on Upwork for front end I would suspect they will trend below 30 quid an hour from here.
