Once had a Top Gear Special style race with a contractor friend to Gordons Wine Bar at Embankment after work. I was working next to the Tower of London and he was down Canary Wharf. My mode of transport was the tube system and his was the Clipper boat up the Thames. Loser buys the drinks.

I look back at my 10 years in London finance, mostly on-site all week with fond memories, and the 30 or so years prior always on-site. Some adventures were had in all that time. However, I've not been in anybody's office now since February 2020 and whilst I do miss it slightly, my domestic situation...

No, no, it HAS to be brexit.
On the whole the previous 14 years for me have been fantastic. Some peaks and some troughs, but on the whole it's been great. Currently on highest rate ever and that has the potential to rise significantly if the client's business plans come to fruition. 100%...

For clarity, the company is US based, has employees in different countries, including the UK, all working from home. There are no premises outside of the US.
I understand there is a UK phone number that is redirected but that's as much as I know.
I think the company also falls...

IR35 - Physical Presence
What exactly does 'Physical Present' mean, in the context of engaging with a foreign client that has 'no physical presence' in the UK, meaning IR35 reforms do not apply?
If that client has a UK phone number where the receptionist just takes the call and forwards it to an offshore number,...

The only stat that matters is you! Who cares if the market doesn't fully recover for 12 months, or 12 years? So long as you're in contract, life is good!
I've seen some encouraging activity over the past week or so on LinkedIn....
