I must tell my mod stories sometime...[assuming you can. Most of mine I can't online. ]

But for now I am reminded of security checking our filing cabinets one night and finding top secret documents unlocked. They wrote a polite note. [For Top Secret??? Jammy sod! Got off very light!] My colleague wrote "have you not got anything better to do" on it and put it back [Stupid... ]. Security checked that night and he was hauled up in front of head of RAE Pyestock (formerly NGTE) the next day!

We had a bod go on leave for a month so I put his ID card in the safe. It fell out and MOD Plod found it on the floor. Muggins here got carpeted.
