I'm somewhere between 3 & 4 years since I stopped. Smoked from age 13 to about 40-ish. Between 80 a day and only 200 a week, depending on what I was doing.
Based on the research I did, I will always miss it. I have never managed to give it up - I will never give it up; I know that much about myself. But I have stopped and do not intend to start again: stopping is too hard.
The trick is, not to fall for it.
The second trick is, if you do fall for it, throw the remains of the packet away in the morning and just start again.
