Well, that was nice
It appears to have stopped raining
This means I'll have to dry my hair before going down the pub, or the landlord will make fun of me

Lack of practice.Originally posted by DS23 View Posti stuffed myself with curry. absolutely stuffed. yet... 20 minutes later and i feel the need for more. why is that? eh?
I recommend 3 good sized pies or suet puddings every day, followed by a stodgy pud with custard.
Within a week, you will be able to eat a full curry with extras and feel satisfied. And then go for a kebab.

I like a Melton Mowbray pie myself. Luckily Melton isn't too far away from here, so I am in the catchment area.Originally posted by BrowneIssue View PostI do not have one spare - this one is the last of three I bought.
Perhaps if I described it, that would help?
The pastry is lovely water pastry and better than most. Moist and tasty.
There is not a large volume of jelly, the pie is almost all meat.
The meat is pork and ham and is quite lean. It is well cooked, and in chunks. Very nice.
Altogether a very tasty and good pork pie.
It is a medium sized pie and needed to be cut into four to make it easier to eat. My wife would have ketchup with such a pie, my father would have pickle and my mother would have mustard.
However, it is such a good pie, that I had it is it was. I have finished it now, all four quarters.
Yumski.
HTH.
Ones from small independent butchers, made to some traditional family recipe, are best

It's a sin.
tpd is about loving one's neighbour as one would love ones self if one thought nobody was looking.
How can that be a sin?Drivelling in TPD is not a mental health issue. We're just community blogging, that's all.
