      Morning.

      ?Saturday?

      Wet.

      Drizzly.

      Dark.

      Dank.

      Dreary.

Misty: no view across the valley today boyo. There's tidy then.

Chilly in here at 14.2 deg, 13 in the kitchen, 12.5 in the leanto.

1010 mBar, 29.83 in Hg, 757.6 Torr, 14.65 psi, (down from 1010.5 last night), 68% RH (Lidl electric).

Meanwhile on the 23rd of March 2020, AndyGarbs, BR14, Brillo, LM, Scruff, WTFH, and openstrike popped in, whilst I moved the Spendor BC2 speakers into the "living room" whereas scruff regretted selling bits of hifi back in 2002 when changing continents.

Walk (unabbreviated, towpath) walked in the grey gloom.

Lunch: brunch. Entertainment: FOOC. Noon o'clock news. Moneybox <click>

Shopping trip to Morrisons because EVERYTHING is SHUT tomorrow: the way Sundays used to be. . Done dusted washed dried sanitised & put away.

Freecell score: 95%, running average: 84%. It must have made an easier selection today.

Blaze: Holy something or other with Dennis Quaid: the usual Blazian bollox: Tower of Babel, Sphinx, something else that was so inneresting I fell asleep, St Peters in Vatican City with added bones.

Tea: soup etc. Nice enough. Entertainment: PM.

Look at Life: The Common Market 1962.

Maigret S4 E2 "The Fontenay Murders (1963)". The one where Madam Maigret's milk nearly boils over on the stove leading to some confusion.

The wind is rising. Lots of stuff rattling about in the garden from the sounds of it.

          Afternoon all

Cloudy with spits of rain and occasional sunshine. Currently 13 degrees with a high of 14 expected. Barometer up to 1016 mBar.

          Sunrise 06:30; Sunset 19:40 BST

HWMBO and I are at Heathrow T4 awaiting our flight to Paris and onwards to Porto.

The new boiler has packed up. No pressure. I could have investigated how to top it up but the plumber really ought to work out what he did wrong first.

            Afternoon denizens

I thought we were supposed be getting lashed by a storm this weekend? There’s a lot of cumulus making it cloudy with occasional sunshine getting through gaps, and it’s breezy, but I wouldn’t consider it “stormy”. The current 14°C “feels like” 7°, so I expect the high of 15° will “feel like” 8°; the barometers are up a bit at 999/1007

Maybe the storm thing was a prank by Carol on her last day

No it didn't! Not impressed. I wanted a shower this morning before travelling.

HWMBO and I are now in Charles de Gaulle airport, having some refreshments in the lounge before our onward flight to Porto in a few hours. It's a lovely sunny day here; 17 degrees.

Tea was brought to me from the Chinese place past the park. It was good, but not as good as from the nearby one that takes ages; I should stop being so lazy and go there more often

There was no Monkey Life today, for unexplained reasons - but it continues next Saturday

But there was some wildlife stuff on later

Tonight, I started reading Antony Beevor’s new book Rasputin and the Downfall of the Romanovs

The storm is finally here! Extremely windy out, and heavy rain from time to time

                      Goodnight all
