Another day with lots of meetings, and yet I managed to be quite productive as well!

Lunch, which I failed to record earlier due to extreme busyness, was another Sainsbury’s steak slice, thereby finishing the pack of two

And once I’d finished work, having successfully advanced the state of the app in the remaining forty-five minutes after the last meeting the day, I had to venture forth to the chemist’s for the monthly prescription. It’s chilly out there and I hadn’t got far before deciding that even with my thick coat on, it had been a mistake not to wear a jumper

Tonight, I started not one but two books!

First, Exhalation by Ted Chiang, author of Stories of Your Life and Others on which the film Arrival was based. Like the previous book, this one’s a collection of short stories, so I read the first one, The Merchant and the Alchemist’s Gate, and it’s excellent

And then I started on The Forgotten Soldier by Guy Sajer, his memoir of fighting in the Wehrmacht on the Eastern Front, which I’ve had for ages but hadn’t got around to reading. I gather there are atrocities, though he’s only just completed training so I haven’t encountered them yet

        Goodnight all

          Morning denizens

It’s an almost completely clear blue sky out there, though looking into the distance reveals a faint misty haze in the air. A slightly frosty start; it’s -1°C and though it’ll warm up over the course of the day, it won’t reach the high of 8° until 23:00 tonight, when it’ll have clouded over. There’s a 50% chance of rain for a spell in the evening, too. The barometers have surged up to 1010/1019mB

Yep! I did mean to from Dubai but our late arrival meant we only had half an hour before getting back on board

Just getting ourselves together to walk over the road to the airport for our flight to Warsaw. We have about 5 or 6 hours to explore there before coming home.

                  Morning.

                  Wednesday.

                  Dry.

                  Sunless.

                  Grey.

Cold in here at 12.8 deg, 10.5 in the kitchen, 7 in the leanto, 2 in the saltinghouse.

1018 mBar, 30.06 in Hg (Kirk out), 763.6 Torr, 14.765 psi, (unchanged), 54% RH (Lidl electric).

Meanwhile on the 3rd of March 2020 quackhandle, AndyGarbs, eek, LondonManc and LM popped in, NF thought it might have rained a little, I took the bus back home after staggering down to the library, and there was no discussion of watches but someone paid £6 for coffee.

Walk (unabbreviated, towpath) walked in the grey gloom. Lazy wind on the way up to make it even colder.

Lunch: brunch. Entertainment: thing about ballot boxes shifted from 13:45 due to the ongoing tedium in the talking shop.

Actually, it's an Embraer on this leg.

The aircraft from Warsaw to London is a B737 Max 8

However, the door didn't fall off on the way out so hopefully it'll also stay put on the way back.
