Tonight’s viewing was the rest of an episode of Police Interceptors I started watching a few days ago

And in Elvissey, things are getting as strange as one would expect

The mundane laundry came to a successful conclusion, so that’s one less thing to do tomorrow

    Goodnight all

Warm out and a bit wet. No sign of Claudia, perhaps we are on her fringe down here.

      TFIF, etc.

            Morning denizens

It’s extremely grey and very rainy here today, as was foretold by the Met Office, and expected to continue so through the day and even through the night. Bit less mild, too: 10°C now apparently “feels like” 0°, and we’ve already had our high for the day of 11° so it’ll be 9° soon! The barometers are sticking around the same 993/1000mB region they’ve been at for most of the week

Off to do the shopping soon, despite the inclement conditions

              Morning all

Dull. Overcast. Wet. Currently 14 degrees with a high of 15 expected. Rain due all day off and on. Barometer down to 1007 mBar.

              Sunrise 07:18; Sunset 16:13 GMT

Yesterday evening HWMBO and I went to see Bugonia (2025) which was absolutely bonkers but very entertaining. Certainly didn't feel like a near 2h run time.

This evening we are off to the nether regions of the docklands to visit Cafe Spice Namaste as they're putting on a special dinner event. In order to score some bonus points with IHG, we're staying near the eXcel afterwards and taking a slow mosey home via Borough Market tomorrow morning.

                Shopping done!

I got rained on a fair bit, but what else can you expect in November? Going there, I took the route past the old place for the first time in a while. The chestnut trees are now leafless, as one would expect, but looking well; and the Polish café was gearing up for lunchtime opening

Shopping itself was uneventful. I managed to get rid of a couple of bags of “flexible plastics” for recycling; I assume Not-as-Big Sainsbury’s also participates in the scheme but I don’t know where their dumping ground is, whereas Big has two tall basket trolleys for that purpose just inside the door, so I take them there. One of the bags has been behind some stuff in the office for ages, having been moved out of the way during the washer-dryer saga and forgotten about

Returning home, my preferred space was still free. In fact, I was able to position the car more accurately than it had been when I left. There are no markings along our side, and others had parked in what I judged to be a sub-optimal configuration when I got back from shopping last week, so the Corolla has been about a foot to a foot-and-a-half further back than I believe it should have been since then. Order has now been restored

Next up: deciding what to have for lunch, for I now have an embarrassment of riches in that regard

Lunch turned out to be salt & chilli chicken in a wholemeal bap

The rain persists, getting even heavier if anything

Meanwhile, a mattress topper and set of pillow protectors are in the wash

Ah! A typo in the year. It's newly released in the past couple of weeks, not 20 years old
