No beans today as I had them yesterday, and I thought it would make a change
On the telly: a bit of new Trucking Hell
And after that, I discovered BBC4 was showing Top of the Pops from 27/02/1998. I'd been wondering if this one would show up some time! The Friday before that, I was in the bar at Phoenix Arts; it was a theatre and arts centre, but a bunch of people I knew treated it as a local, as it was more peaceful than other places in town. I bumped into Tjinder from Cornershop, with whom I'd worked briefly a few years before, when we were both at the bar, queuing because it was the interval. We had a quick chat about what we were each up to (he'd just come back from touring the USA supporting Oasis) and went our separate ways. And the next week, Brimful of Asha went to No. 1, so before I went out the following Friday I watched this very episode of TOTP to see him doing his thing!
New windows and doors kinda complete - the outside is done, re-rendered etc. Some of the windows need to be tidied up on the inside, but that’s for Monday.
Friday Fizz has been consumed, the world has been put to rights, and now TFBSZ.
I’ve told Max tomorrow is Saturday, but he’s not very good with days of the week.
Tonight's major motion picture premiere was Waterworld (1995) which… well. I can see what they were driving at, but I'm not sure they got there. That said, it's OK! But only OK
And then more of The Last of Us. It's very good. I wonder if the games are as good? I don't really play games nowadays, other than the occasional emulator running the original arcade Defender or Pac-Man or the like
Meanwhile on the 4th of February 2020 NF binge watched "Dracula" (the BBC version in 3 eps), I continued with "The small back room", BR14 popped in with an enquiry regarding JohnTheBike of immortal memory, Brillo popped in, WTFH popped in.
Lunch: brunch. Entertainment: The Amol Rajan Broadcasting Company waffling on about something I can no longer remember due to it being so "inneresting".
Sun's out.
May potch in the garage for a while.
Minor potching in the garage until it got too hot.
I seem to have a remarkable quantity of IEC mains inlets, fresh out of the skip at Wolsey Comcare in Nov/Dec 1998.
Now outside a nice mug of mediocre but consistent coffee as I recover from my exertions.
Tea: soup etc. Meh.
Entertainment: Maigret (1960) The Liberty Bar.

Headache still persists. It went for a while then came back. I am going to attempt visiting Mum but if it's too bright out then the trip may be cancelled.
