I had this the other night as well, but when I went to look in the freezer I discovered I've used up most of the things I rely on when I don't want to cook from scratch, and I didn't fancy either of the other options. I need to make some more casseroles and things to get restocked
This was accompanied by the second half of the motorway cop thing I started watching yesterday
In 1177 B.C. tonight, a bunch of stuff about trade between Egypt and Crete in the fifteenth century B.C.
Early start tomorrow for the grand finale of this project, so I'd better get an early night. I probably won't actually have to do much except keep an eye on logs for errors or something like that, because I'm very happy to leave the important stuff to the guy who knows everything about it
It should all go smoothly, though. The policy throughout has been to only do the migration when everything's been brought to such a state that we're 99% certain it'll be a very boring process. I think there's only been a couple out of about 45 of these where something unexpected showed up and they had to roll it back
Patchy cloud at the moment, getting to be more cloudy later. It's 16°C and aiming for 21° later, so not too bad. The barometers are up at 1006/1014mB
Early start will be starting soon
In fact, it's basically my last day on this project. Strictly speaking, it ends with the month next week; but I'll be "available if needed" and won't, in fact, be needed, while the other team will be expecting me to get up to speed on their service ready for when I start back at the end of August. A huge relief to be done with this one
Morning all
Slept in, so didn't manage 10km today, only just got to 10,000 steps.
It was blues skies and cool earlier, now there's a bit of cloud coming in. Last two windows due to go in today, and maybe the new back door, if the builder gets a move on.
Cool in here at 20.1 deg, 21 in the kitchen, 19 in the leanto, 16 in the saltinghouse.
1012.5 mBar, 29.9 in Hg, 759.44 Torr, 14.685 psi, up from 1011 last night, 66% RH (Lidl electric).
Meanwhile on the 3rd of February 2020 NF popped in with the links, BR14 popped, Brillo popped in, LondonManc popped in, and WTFH lost an uncle..
Lunch: brunch. Entertainment: the night thing: today: all night techno in Berlin.
Shirts and iRonable cottons in off the line & duly iRoned. 28 deg in the saltinghouse now.
Infinite Monkey Cage: S32 "to the centre of the earth" and "how selfish are we really?".
Left knee very painful for some reason. Quite difficult going up & down stairs. :.
I may forego the afternoon's gentle potching in the garage to see if that make the knee betterer.
Tea: beans on toast etc.
Entertainment: PM <click>
Thing on BBC1W about Portmeirion and The Prisoner, with added Prisoner junkies. So inneresting that bits of it were muted. I must admit that I much preferred it back in the long ago when it was in black & white on 405 lines rather than on dvd in colour & 625.
Foyle's War S4 E1 (dunno what happened to S3 but there you go: with one bound the Septics arrive).

Apparently my personal data has been leaked from the QDos customer portal. So that's nice... now off to sign-up for their kind offer of 12 months identity monitoring.
