Having spent ages trying to decide what to have for dinner, I gave up and got KFC. Not exciting or interesting food, but it'll doComment

Lots of old Monkey Life on today, at the more usual lunchtime period rather than the early one they did last week. And that was followed by a variety of wildlife stuff, though managing to not be quite so shark-centric this week
And this evening I started reading To Catch a Spy: How the Spycatcher Affair Brought MI5 in from the Cold by Tim Tate, which is hot off the press, having been published two days ago. It promises to cover the whole nonsensical business around HMG and Peter Wright's book in greater detail than any previous account, as lots of official documents and court transcripts that had been kept secret have been released to the archives in recent years
Early night now as tomorrow's Monkey Life session is on earlier again

Morning all
Managed a lot of jobs yesterday and finished the day off with a large bonfire. 8 dumpy bags of garden waste burned, not counting the 10 metres of our hedging that the owner of the field behind had dug up and left in our garden.
Chopping wood today.…Maybe we ain’t that young anymoreComment

Morning denizens
Sunny start out, though filtered by a high haze. There's a pleasant light breeze too. Currently 15°C with 21° expected later, and the barometers are really much the same at 1001/1009mBComment
