If it was me, I'd go to the Jose Ferrer vineyard at Binissalem, and then on to visit my friends who live near Campanet.

        Morning.

        Dry.

        Sunny.

Cool in here at 17 deg.

1016 mBar, 30 in Hg, 762.1 Torr, 14.736 psi, (up from 1013 last night), 73% RH.

Thursday judging by the racket from the recycling engineers earlier.

Another horrid nightmare about starting the 3rd year of some degree or other. at least it wasn't the Finals Dream.

Walk (unabbreviated) walked in the grey gloom and slight drizzle.

Lunch: lentil soup with Morrisons wholemeal sunflower and spelt bread, bramble jelly sandwich, red corner yog, 0.91 pints of good Glengettie tea.

Entertainment: Y&Y on about courier fraud: 100s of k stolen from one elderly couple.

Feck me, the dermatitis is playing up today.

        Freecell score: 95% (of 20), running average: 85% (84.545%).

Minor potching in the garage. Found the other FeCl etch tank. The one that leaks. .

        Entertainment: Discovering Whoopi Goldberg (again).

Tea: chilli con carne with rice, some pear halves, a yog, 0.91 pints of good Glengettie tea.

Entertainment: Farscape S2 E7 "Home on the remains": the giant dead thing in space one. Zaahn starts pollinating.

Wheeler Dealers S14 E11 "1987 Alpha Spider Quadrifoglio" whatever the feck that is.

Vaguely inneresting to see the insides of an LSD.

I was impressed to see how easily the half shafts came out, remembering the problems I had with the halfshafts on the Dutton Phaeces rear axle (from a rwd Ford Escort or similar), requiring an extra 7lb weight on the slide hammer before the wheel bearings began to shift.

Ah. Al ist Klar, it's in LA. Which explains why it's not a pile of 1987 vintage rust. Due to not seeing salt.

Discovering Brian De Palmer. I seem to have watched a fair number of his epics, with more in various piles of dvds as yet unwatched.

UFO thing on Blaze. Not worth watching.

"Secrets, lies, and Atomic spies" on PBS. Gosh. So that's how the Venona encrypt & decrypt worked. 2002 programme.

The Movies: the 90s part deux.

          Lunch was freshly-baked sausage rolls

And while baking, my agent called with some news: in all the confusion of the delays around clearance, I'd ended up with a contract end date of June 3, but it was supposed to be mid-July as that's what the contract between the consultancy and the department says

It'll probably get extended anyway after that, but either way it's another month-and-a-bit in the bag

After doing a shedload of work over the last couple of days trying to help resolve an issue that I didn't cause (but was best qualified to help), I've spent this morning gathering the evidence as to which resources may be about to fall out a 5th floor window.
By the time one of them realised what I knew, they sent out an email using buzzword bingo, and claiming that they didn't do the things I said they didn't do.
...but not denying they did the things that we know they did.

If they deny that piece, then one of the directors has already agreed that the only other option is that a miracle has occurred.

              Afternoon?

It hasn't rained yet today though the sky keeps threatening to.

Less meetings will be required from now on anyway back to work.

Walk briskly walked, green ring closed

Grey out now with a bit of a breeze, but still reasonably warm

Tea has been lamb scouse, made in the InstantPot™ with the leftovers from the half-shoulder I roasted the other day. Turned out very tasty, and there's a few portions for the freezer too

The recycling was sorted out and taken down earlier, thereby filling the bin enough for a trundle.

Need to get to bed soon as it's Friday tomorrow, so I want to make an early start

The car earlier was an Alfa Romeo Spider, and then the Italian bicycling took over again, though I was in and out of the kitchen anyway. And whilst dining, a bit more Police Interceptors

Better crash now if I want to get my walk in first thing

                    Goodnight all
