Washing out of the machine and hung up.

The sun has come out and it's now a rather nice day.

Only a mile walked up to the high street and back via some of the nice back roads that allowed me to engage in a bit of property porn. Whilst there's a lot of the four/five storey Victorian stock, there's quite a bit of 1930's more compact housing which I really like the style of. Most of that also has off road parking and a garden - luxury!

      Afternoon denizens

Official sources describe today as "partly cloudy" but they're wrong; it is, in fact, wholly cloudy, and pretty windy to boot if the gesticulations of the foliage outside are anything to go by

"Rain" (probably just drizzle) due soon too

Nor is it particularly warm: a mere 8°C is what we have and what we shall get, though it is expected to rise to 9° in the early hours tomorrow. The barometer, after yesterday's sharp rise, has plumped for an equally sharp fall to 1006/1014mB

There's a Zoom call with the Antipodes first thing tomorrow. These were originally scheduled for the end of the month; then they moved to the start of the month for reasons I've forgotten. And now the whole business seems to have descended into anarchy

Yes, it's completely crackers in terms of its initial premise, but this does have the advantage that they manage to fit just about every kind of action in there as a result

Some of my OU assignment has been done but the essay actually requires me to properly read the material rather than look up key words and rejig the text. One would think they were trying to deliver a proper university level course.

Took a break from OU work and ended up catching up on many episodes of 24 Hours in A&E while eating ice-cream made with Conker Coffee Liqueur.

Telly, apart from bits of the usual nonsense while dining, has been Only Murders in the Building S1E4, The Sting (TV Episode 2021). Another good episode

Early night now because of Antipodean Zoom at some ungodly hour in the morning due to Antipodean BST

                      Goodnight all
