    Afternoon denizens

Grey day but with some blue bits hither and yon. Currently 7°C but it's only heading down from there; barometers are marginally up at 1014/1022mB. Chance of rain this evening. By the by, I was wrong yesterday: there was, in fact, some extremely light drizzle in the evening

Scotch broth and multiseed bread for lunch

I omitted to report that the bed was stripped earlier and the first load has been washed and hung about. The duvet cover is now having its turn.

The washing machine beeped completion of the duvet cover wash quite some time ago but I have only just taken it out and draped it about. I was trying to find the £5 discrepancy between my accountant's version of my accounts and mine. It's possible it's rounding errors but I'll know when I see his version of the trial balance.

Waitrose delivered me some battered haddock fish fingers so a couple were cooked up and put in a wrap for late lunch. It also made it easier to get the rest of the packet in the freezer.

Time to make the bed and get in it!

Telly has been the usual bit of traffic cop stuff with dinner, followed by a couple of episodes of The Repair Shop

It's a good job I started watching that, as there's a strip about it in the latest Viz which I wouldn't have understood otherwise

                Goodnight all

                    Morning all

Blue sky and dry. Chilly out, currently 6 degrees ('feels like' 4) with a high of 10. Sky expected to stay clear all day. Barometer has leapt up to 1029 mBar.

Slightly overslept this morning due to some very peculiar dreams for the second night in a row.

                      Morning.

                      Dry.

                      CBS.

                      Sunny.

                      Frosty, very.

Chilly in here at 14.7 deg.

                      1029.5 mBar, 30.4 in Hg, 772.2 Torr, 67% RH.

                      Monday.

Barely able to open due to the gleam off the telex machine.

Walk (unabbreviated) walked, including the clamber up to the pointless viewless point for the first time in yonks.

It's still pointless & viewless, so nothing new there, but "They" seem to have cleared some of the brambles & suchlike away, and made the paths a bit less like venturing into a jungle.

The barometer has risen half a millibar to 1030 mBar.

Lunch: scrambled egg and poached tomato on nonblue Morrisons wholemeal sunflower and spelt toasted crust, bramble jelly sandwich on same (but untoasted & uncrust), red corner yog, 0.91 pints of good Glengettie tea.

Entertainment: Oz customs: chap with a remarkably large bundle of bestiality porn, the usual Chinese suitcases full of "food" and "medicine", couple of Vietnamese women with internal concealments of H: 5 years in clink.

NZ Border Patrol: watched them before.

Should be out doing some "gardening*" rather than reading Monday links but there you apparently go.

*i.e. hacking brambles and chopping down next door's phlox and blackcurrant bushes.

Duly hacked. The next bonfire is gonna be a good one. <- bonfire.

Filled the bird feeders for the first time since March.

Tea: more of the roast chicken & sausage (the sausage was nice), some peach slices, a yog, 0.91 pints of good Glengettie tea.

                      Entertainment: Discovering Doris Day.

                      Joy of Painting.

A prog on BBC Scotland about Raasay & the slaver who owned it.

Quantum Leap S2: the one where he's a mom.

Oak Island nutjobs: more wood, Gary finds a door knob.

NCIS S17 E20 "The Arizona" with Christopher Lloyd guesting, but no Delorean or Marty McFly to be seen.
