    Maybe we'll never know.
They got let in, so I suspect it was a visitor to one of the downstairs flats, or maybe even a co-tenant who'd lost their keys.

Sounds quite restful. Sainsbury's don't play music at any time, or at least not that I've noticed; but I think they always have the lights up.

      Stone me it's close.

Where's the  when you need it?

Forgot to buy the milk, but there's another foot of dvds to watch.

Met the training officer from The Slough of Despond who retired 3 or 4 years ago.

If I do this much more often people will start talking.

Today's first feature, during which I had to take a cold shower due to the unbearable heat & humidity, was "Bad Teacher" with Cameron Diaz.

      I found it very funny.

The dvd skipped twice until I fixed it by rubbing the damn thing in little circles on the carpet to get the grease off.

Warm here, but not particularly close.

        Sausages in rolls for lunch

And the laundry is on. Exciting times

          Good show.

I was worried in case they died of hypothermia/heatstroke*

          It is.

However I was too late to enjoy it this week.

Though I did score another shoulder of lamb, Morrisons, reduced, boned, for tomorrow.

That's why I do mine on Fridays.

The machines do the boring washing tulipe while I'm being bored senseless in the Slough of Despond.

Today's 2nd feature is "Sex Tape" with Cameron Diaz which doesn't seem quite as funny as "Bad Teacher".

Or I shouldn't have chosen to watch it right afterwards.

Lunch was a particularly tasteless Crosse & Blackwell ham hock & wegetable soup.

I think I should be doing some outside painting instead of wasting time in here.

Re-reading Nineteen Eighty-Four at the moment. Just got to the end of Part II. Things aren't looking good for poor old Winston & Julia

The aforementioned "Sex Tape" definitely got funnier as it went on.

Actually larf out loud funny in parts.

This was followed by "The Contract" with Morgan "Voice of God" Freeman and John Cusack.

It was rather good in a paranoid sort of way.

After all, you're not paranoid if they really are out to get you.
