Tonight's film was Green Zone (2010), in which a soldier uncovers a CIA plot involving an agent fabricating intelligence to start a war, said soldier then trying to expose the truth, which proves to be very dangerous as both sides have their own reasons for trying to stop him. Sounds like your standard thriller fare, but it's actually set in Iraq in 2003 so it's probably a lot closer to the truth than the official version, even if many incidents have been made up for entertainment purposes. Worth a watch, should it turn up in the charity shop
And after that, another episode closer to the current end of The Americans.
