The curry place opposite the windmill? Get yourself a Stilton topped pie in the pub as a starter, you won't be disappointed! -
Isn't the Windmill the one down Spon Street? I used to drink in there sometimes in my far off student days - along with the Town Wall and the Gatehouse which are practically round the corner.Originally posted by barrydidit View PostThe curry place opposite the windmill? That all changed when I moved up to Chapelfields and discovered the Craven Street Run. My tankard is still behind the bar in the Nursery and gets used once a month or so.

Home!
Seemed like it might be a record run, with the A14 to Huntingdon surprisingly free-flowing; but in the end I got stuck in the rush hour at this end
But that's it all done and dusted, and I can relax

Nothing definite yet, but if they do go ahead with the next project in the New Year they want me in on it, and are prepared to be flexible about things

Bloody hard doing the working away thing, trick is to build up trust with clients, so it is one of the conditions to not be there unless necessary, to go back.
I'm not as young as I wish I was either, so I like to have an extra hour in bed these days and starting around 8AM
.
Logged off b4 5 on most days, whether at home or making an appearance
, as my contract states pretty much put the hours in to get the stated tasks done.

Celebratory dinner from the Chinese
This led to the usual cry of "What are you doing here, it's not Saturday!" from the woman who runs the place; but she was impressed, and I suspect a tad envious, when I explained that I was celebrating having finished work until the New Year
