Actually got to speak to the pimp. After ten minutes of questioning and him trotting out a different excuse each time he spoke he finally admitted that the interview from last week looks to be going nowhere.

I'm reminded of the old adage with pimps: if their lips are moving, they're lying. I don't mind not getting a contract, I just prefer a straight answer and any feedback he has (or even "I don't have anything else") rather than spending days making up a different tulipty story each time.
