That reminds me I should complete my postal vote for the Mayor of London.
I've been advised to vote for the politician with the most personality from a main party.
So that's no one then...."You’re just a bad memory who doesn’t know when to go away" JRComment

Feeling a bit glum today - the CovToyotaAvensis has died :-( Nasty whining from the gearbox followed by a crunch and the loss of 1st and reverse. Probably could fix it but given it's 13 years old and at 173000 miles perhaps not worth it.
Looking around for a replacement now. Sadly the market in petrol, manual, estate bodied Volvo 240s seems to be a bit dry right now (otherwise I'd buy another of those for motorway comfort).Comment

Every little helps.Originally posted by mudskipper View PostI just found £1.20 in the bottom of the holdall with the cine films in. That's 60p each. I made an executive decision to donate it to the charity singers in town.
I kept it all.

That's 100,000 miles more than I got out of the POS Passat of immortal memory.
Next to the Fiat Marea, the most disappointing car I've bought in years.
Turned out I bought the ZeitToyotaCorolla in 2009, so I've had the thing 7 years.
The ZeitFiatSeicento was purchased in October 2010 so I've had that for 5.5 years.
ZeitPater was in hospital when I bought the Fiat and I took delivery on the evening I fetched him home, much to ZeitMater's irritation.Last edited by zeitghost; 23 April 2016, 17:13.Comment

I've spent the afternoon merrily "tidying" up my office.
One might almost be able to sit down in there now.
Bin bag full of scrap paper ready for the bonfire. (it's got names & other stuff on it).
Found the Saga password and mother's maiden name written down on a piece of paper on the floor of said office.
It was, as I thought, the password I'd attempted to use and the MMN was correct too.
So wtf is going on with the Saga site I really dunno.Comment

Had to run out earlier to buy some 3 amp fuses.
The nearest shop was Wickes but could I find them in the electrical section? Nope.
Collared an assistant and was lead to the cabling section.
How are 3 amp fuses that go in plugs cabling?"You’re just a bad memory who doesn’t know when to go away" JRComment
