    Sunday lunch cooked & eaten.

It seems to be getting earlier every week.

    It'll be Sunday breakfast eventually.

One house vacced and "dusted" a bit.

Off out shortly to do some food shopping.

Keep feeling like I ought to go shopping, then reminding myself I don't need to because I went the other day.

OS installed and patched. Burn in phase while I have some beers.

Time for a thread with a poll in general!

I think we might have to be careful 'what do we call MS's pussy?' might get some posters overexcited.

Just been on Street View looking at the parade of shops down the road from where we lived in the Sixties. Back then: butcher, baker, fishmonger, ironmonger, greengrocer, etc. I don't think my mum ever felt the need to travel any further for provisions.

Now, almost half the space is taken up by two large beauty salons, with prominent advertising of sunbeds. Between them: a tattooist. And the small supermarket - Fine Fare, I think it was - is a bookies.

Lavell's, the newsagent/sweet shop/tobacconist, is still there, now a McColl's; and the rather classy off licence has mutated into Bargain Booze.

                      Tempora mutantur, and all that
