Last minute purchase chicken in the oven. With some spuds and 'snips.

Trying to negotiate a month off in December. Contract ends November, but ClientCo have got more work, but they're all snowed under by the aftermath of their big SAP launch, so no time for meetings or requirements. Would probably suit us both if I take a month off with maybe a day or two of support as required.Originally posted by FiveTimes View PostNot having to worry about packing my bag is a bonus
Plus I can have a good slug of booze tonight without worrying about getting up early

Chicken casserole just started.
The only reason I make chicken casserole so often (almost every week) is that the big Sainsbury's butcher's counter keeps putting out trays of eight chicken thighs on special offer - usually £4. I much prefer the brown meat off chicken, and I can get three or four meals out of them, meaning I save the trouble of cooking on other days.
They stopped doing them for a few months, and I think I only made chicken casserole twice during that time

I used to avoid the cheap stuff as it was usually cheap meat from china from dodgy battery farms passed off as British meat.Originally posted by NickFitz View PostChicken casserole just started.

I prefer to buy organic, I know it's more expensive, but at least I know I'm getting summat that has had a reasonable life and was fed well.
I prefer chicken thighs to breasts, as the breasts can often dry out too easily.
Need to make more stock, and in doing so empty the freezer of carcasses.Comment
