Turns out the expert, after I took him through a debugging session to establish how the framework was behaving, also thought it was a bug, or at least a misfeatureOriginally posted by NickFitz View PostNope, a quick rootle around in the debugger reveals that it's due to some kind of fundamental brokenness - as what I'm doing is basically straight out of the docs, I blame them
Luckily, one of them will be in tomorrow, so he can at least confirm that it's not my fault, or explain whatever magic incantation hasn't made into the docs yet

He's put removal of this brokenness forward as a suggested change to the other core developers on the product, so we might see some action
In the meantime, he was able to figure out how to get it working, but then again he is one of the creators of it

The problem was that it worked, but it didn't actually do what was required. So I didn't do any harm by totally breaking it, as it was useless alreadyOriginally posted by BrilloPad View PostIf it ain't broken dont fix it.
You are undoing the good work of all your technical posts...
