It would help if you had a piece of Sycamore. Something around 2" thick, 23" wide and anything over 2 foot long.

Sorry, nothing like that around here....there's a park near the flat but not that much loose wood...and I couldn't tell if it was sycamore anyway.

Green wood wouldn't help either. Really needs to be air dried for about 2 years or alternatively, kiln dried.
