Things wrong with the Vauxhall Zafira
In a cross-wind it gets blown about rather more than I would have expected.
I have driven big and small vans on the A55 in very strong winds and they didn't suffer like the Zafira.Drivelling in TPD is not a mental health issue. We're just community blogging, that's all.

You have to slam the doors quite hard to get them to close properly.
If you only slam them normally, they look sort of closed but aren't.Drivelling in TPD is not a mental health issue. We're just community blogging, that's all.

The badge on the back says 1.8 and we've been putting petrol in it.
I think the wrong badge was fitted - it MUST be a 1.3Drivelling in TPD is not a mental health issue. We're just community blogging, that's all.

In the passenger seat, it is not possible to get your left arm comfortable. By your side, it is pushed into your ribs by the shelf on the door.
If you put you arm on the shelf on the door, the central column roof support is where you want your elbow to be.Drivelling in TPD is not a mental health issue. We're just community blogging, that's all.

The inside looks cheap and plasticky. It is naff.
I don't mind plastic, or even bare metal. But this is naff, rubbery, silly-textured plastic. It is not nice to the touch nor the eye.Drivelling in TPD is not a mental health issue. We're just community blogging, that's all.

The rear hatch was designed by a psycho.
When opening it, you have to leap back to avoid being smacked under the chin by the door as it flies up.Drivelling in TPD is not a mental health issue. We're just community blogging, that's all.

There is a recess in the inside of the hatch that is intended to work as a handle.
But no matter how hard and fast you pull down on it, you have to pull your arm out of the way before you have managed to overcome the hatch opening springs.
So it flies open again.
So the handle is pointless.Last edited by BrowneIssue; 23 February 2008, 09:48.Drivelling in TPD is not a mental health issue. We're just community blogging, that's all.

So to close the hatch, you have to press on the outside surface of the hatch which means you get your hand filthy.
But, you have to slam it quite hard to get it to stay shut.
The sensible place to do so is the recessed part on the outside but as soon as you put your hand there you touch the release mechanism and re-open the hatch.Drivelling in TPD is not a mental health issue. We're just community blogging, that's all.

There are two studs in the front passenger footwell. I cannot work out what they are for. They stand about 3/4" proud of the carpet.
As you try to get the circulation back in your legs, you end up kicking one or the other.
Since they are plastic, it is only a matter of time before they snap off.Drivelling in TPD is not a mental health issue. We're just community blogging, that's all.
