Morning.
Wednesday.
Dry.
Sunny.
Blue sky in parts.
Chilly side of cool in here at 17.5 deg, 18.5 in the kitchen, 16 in the leanto.
1001.5 mBar, 29.57 in Hg, 751.2 Torr, 14.53 psi, (up from 1001 last night), 69% RH (Lidl electric).
Meanwhile on the 22nd of January 2020 WTFH was planning on building more chicken fences, NF was busy watching S3 E9 & 10 of STNG, Brillo popped in, BR14 popped in, LM popped in.
Entertainment: More or Less, followed by that thing about the Jewish chap involved with poison gas in WWII.
Walk along the canal towpath. 7 orchids spotted. More trees down, the canal is totally unnavigable now.
Oh, and the water level is as low as I've ever seen it*, plus there was a dead fish at one point, presumably due to lack of oxygen.
*Other than when it used to be drained so they could clean it a little. The new lot don't bother at all.
Timed to the second again: rain started as I walked in through the door.
Lunch: brunch.
Entertainment: Y&Y waffling on about crowd funded book scam.
Having discovered the metal sheets secreted by Strangelove Pater, I've been making repair patches for the grandfather's toolbox.
You can cut metal sheeting with a circular saw if it's fitted with the correct type of blade.
I've even retained all my fingers** unlike some of the previous incumbents.
.
**So far, touch wood.
.
Bloody awkward stuff to cut though. Noisy even with the eye & ear protection in place.
Today's potching in the garage done for now. The toolbox shouldn't fall to bits quite so easily in the future.
Used the Lidl(tm) drill press for the first time. Dunno when I bought it, but it's a decade or more ago. Also used the Lidl(tm) workpiece holder thingie. Worked ok.
Tea: soup etc.
Entertainment: PM.
Digging for Britain. It was so gripping I dozed off.
Maigret and the Wine Merchant. The one where said merchant is offed leaving a knocking shop.
Last 10 minutes of "Parker" with that jason statham chap. Tribute to Donald E. Weslake in the credits.
