    Afternoon denizens

Sunny day out, with the merest tiny wisps of cloud hither and yon as punctuation. It's 14°C and will shortly peak at 15°, though a gusty wind is making it "feel like" 10°. The barometers are trivially up at 1011/1019mB

My bum still hurts, but a little less than it did

      Afternoon all

Clear blue sky. Currently 16 degrees with a high of 18 expected. Barometer up a smidge to 1020 mBar.

      Sunrise 06:27; Sunset 19:42 BST

HWMBO and I went to the farmers' market this morning. I wanted some more chilli sauce from a particular vendor but this wasn't the week they had a stall. Maybe next week.

Think loony lady 3 is losing her marbles. Walk too far for her yesterday so left her at bench and went to get me car. On way back to pick her up, found her wandering along narrow road holding up the cars.

On plus side I have a date with a younger lady on Monday!

Breakfast was croissants with strawberry jam, and lunch has been a pork cutlet and apple sauce bap (wholemeal)

It's been a gloriously sunny day so we wisely stayed indoors. Fitted some privacy film on the living room windows which resulted in a need to mop the living room floor lest I make a clean spot.

It being sunny, I felt the need for a margarita and we are now on our second as HWMBO wasn't sure if he really liked the first one.

Tea has been brought hither by bicycle, but this time it was my bicycle! I popped round to the kebab shop on it

TBH, it didn't really save any time over walking round there because of the palaver involved in getting the bike out of, and back into, my storeroom downstairs. Until the old washing machine is taken away and I rearrange or dispose of the other stuff in there, it's all a bit Tetris-like

The council are going to come and collect it in a couple of weeks though, along with some other bulky stuff that's never going to be restored to use

And now my backside is even more sore

New Monkey Life graced the TV today, along with the usual wildlife stuff. There was a good thing later on about a troop of ring tailed lemurs that live high on a mountain in Madagascar

And later, I read a swathe of Caledonian Road, in which matters are coming to a head for various people

                Goodnight all

                  Morning.

                  Sunday.

                  Dry.

                  Sunny.

                  Blue sky.

Chilly in here at 15.7 deg, 15.5 in the kitchen, 13 in the leanto.

1017.5 mBar, 30.05 in Hg, 763.2 Torr, 14.7575 psi, (up from 1014 last night), 55% RH (Lidl electric).

Meanwhile on the 7th of January 2020 NF advised Brillo to take it easy, BR14 concurred, LM was tracking down suppliers from Xmas, one of whom had gone bust, BR14 had chilli con carne with a nice rioja for tea, I had M&S chunky haddock, Brillo experienced The Crisis of The Lost Sock in the washing, which Lost Sock was eventually found inside the duvet.

Walk (unabbreviated) walked in the sunshine, with a slightly altered route back down.

                  Lunch: brunch.

Entertainment: 5 seconds of The Archers which informed me that Clarrie Grundy didn't get a job in The Bull for some reason.

Some programme about Steve Witkoff, Trump's pick for some job or other.

More labouring down in the garage: The Counting Of The Nails and the final clearance of next door's shed: taking away the mains isolation cum fuse box, decidedly 2nd hand from The Metal Box, and alarmingly designed for 3 phase though used on single. Quite why my Dad decided to use conduit is a mystery wrapped in an enigma, but it probably came out of the skip at Metal Box.

Yet more potching in the garage: this time the ancient Sharp music centre was brought back to life after 20 or more years using my Big Green Lamp Limiter. Now I can listen to the wireless whilst sorting all those nails & screws out.

I decided to leave the packet of asbestos for them to dispose of. .

Tea: beans on toast etc. Nice enough.

Entertainment: the NZ Highway Patrol thing: not on next week according to the EPG.

Churchill's War: how he saved Britain on 5+1.

Bit of the Repair Shoppe with an electric kid's car and the inevitable teddy bear, plus a walking stick with a built in flask, and a "smuggler's" telescope.

The thing about all the things that can kill you in a 1950s house including chemistry sets & dropping a ladder on your head.

Last 45 minutes of "Tinker Tailor (2011)". Dunno why Peter Guillam was gay but there you go apparently.

                      Morning denizens

Sunny day out, the only thing resembling a cloud in view being the vapour trail of the RyanAir Brussels to Dublin flight going by at 38,000 feet to the north of Rutland Water. Not quite as warm as it has been but still OK at 9°C with an expected 15°, and the blustery wind has dropped, leaving nothing for it to "feel like". The barometers are up a bit at 1013/1022mB
