    Morning denizens

Sunny start again, but with the chilliness that comes with open skies: currently 1°C, having been cold enough earlier for what appears to be a slight frostiness to form on the cars. It'll warm up though, reaching 13° this afternoon. The barometers are down some more at 1010/1018mB

CBS, etc, and while there was a ground frost, it didn't feel that cold out.

        Morning.

        Wednesday.

        Dry.

        Sunny.

        Blue sky.

Chilly in here at 11.8 deg, 10.5 in the kitchen, 8.5 in the leanto.

1016.5 mBar, 30.02 in Hg, 762.44 Torr, 14.743 psi, (unchanged), 57% RH (Lidl electric).

Meanwhile on the 3rd of January 2020 it was dry, notsocold, but even so the library computer room was largely empty (things to come, things to come), NF had a restless night's sleep due to prior watching of Spiral, WTFH had a mention on Poke (whatever that is) and covbob was "WFH" because the inlaws had arrived. NF was contemplating a visit to Lidl(tm) since he was currently short of a rubber boat.

Freecell score: 83%, running average: 82%.

Walk (unabbreviated) walked in the wan sunshine, high clouds & chem trails.

        Lunch: brunch.

Entertainment: Y&Y: do people really spend £12 on a lunchtime sandwich? Are they gold plated or what?

Human Intelligence: John von Neumann of architecture fame.

Welsh Water busy potching about: blocked sewer further up the road, so they'll need to access the manhole next door to do the needful doings.

4 bags of moss extracted from the lawn once I'd persuaded the lawn rake to work again following its long sojourn in the garage.

Tea: chilli con carne with rice. This was rather nicer than Monday's having festered in the fridge with added paprika and hot chilli pepper.

        Entertainment: PM. 18 o'clock news.

        Maigret and the Liberty Bar.

Blue sky with a hint of a wisp hanging about. Currently 11 degrees with a high of 17 expected. Barometer down to 1021 mBar.

          Sunrise 06:06; Sunset 18:13

According to the R4 pre-8am weather report this morning, it's the spring solstice tomorrow.

Yesterday I went to the Gielgud Theatre to see Oliver! It was very entertaining.

Lunch: some leftover belly pork rashers in a wholemeal bap with apple sauce, and a bag of plain crisps

A bit cloudier out, but it's thin wispy stuff

Still never been there. And as I no longer live round the corner from it, I probably won't get around to it any time soon

Too many things on today. Goup walk, book reading thing and history society meeting this evening. Oh well, I might have another loony lady, see if she texts me.

Tea has been a Pukka steak & kidney pie with chips and gravy

The light in the oven has gone!

I dig out the manual and it appears to be very easy to replace, so I'll have to get a bulb from my local Bosch Authorised Parts Supplier Amazon

Sunny start again, and a slightly warmer one: already 6°C and supposed to soar to 17° later, as March build up to its "out like a lamb" thing. The barometers are much the same at 1009/1017mB

Looking at the ten day forecast, I see that it's expected to be very mild, perhaps even warm, at least until towards the end of the month when there might be a slightly colder spell. Could this be related to the Vernal Equinox, due at 9:01 this morning? Possibly so. Anyway, a Happy Equinox to all!

CBS and sunny. A slight chill earlier, but within half an hour of leaving home I didn't really need a jacket. Looks like it's going to be a good day.
